All in all it is great in food, vibes, and flavor! However please never serve that nasty Mac and cheese ever again. Literally tasted like noodles and cheese. I can tell this place is supposed to give soul food. That Mac and cheese tasted like an old white lady made it. It had no flavor. Just noodles and cheese. Not even a lick of salt and pepper. It was extremely off putting given the rest of the food had so much flavor!

Very nice anesthetic, very clean, staff is nice/persona, nice contemporary decor, appetizer was good (collard greens egg rolls) well seasoned). My main entree was tasty overall; fish with mac and cheese and sweet potatoes which were good-aim just a person who likes more of a cajun seasoned catfish. The wine was good, yes I tasted 4 different ones-from a local-black owned winery. Best of wishes on the success of your new location.

Very good food, I only put 4 stars cause it's mostly seafood. But very fresh and filling. I had the teriyaki glazed salmon with three cheese ravioli. So GOOD! I highly recommend, the plating was clean. The atmosphere is chill, the crowd are mostly 30-40s. Sometimes they have live entertainment! The drinks are good but I'm not a Henny drinker.

Great food! Had the Salmon Strawberry salad, soul rolls and lobster bisque with shrimp & crab. Wasn’t sure about the soul rolls but they were perfectly balanced egg roll goodness with smoked turkey, Mac & cheese, collard greens and sweet potato. Great service! Our server was polite, attentive and professional. He highlighted the Apple pie rolls which we will have next time. Atmosphere was upscale casual (if that makes sense.). In other words, nice and comfortable.

A few things to unpack here, some great some disappointing. Starting with the good, the service during dinner was very nicely done. In a packed restaurant, our food came out quickly and server was very attentive. The Ravioli and Salmon dish was amazing, but lamp chops Mac and yams weren't as great. We also had the chicken and collar egg rolls and shrimp and crab egg rolls that were decent. One negative is the host was disrespectful when we arrived for our reservation but maybe that was a misunderstanding. Also, when the reservations were made, I specifically stated it was for a birthday and requested a piece of cake and candle if possible. I was never told whether the candle was possible nor did we receive the cake at all. They don't serve alcohol yet either which was not a negative, just an FYI. Overall I am not sure our experience met our expectations, but we will probably return and try again.
